Priceless Fun This Summer in Winnipeg!

Priceless Fun This Summer in Winnipeg!
By Councillor Cindy Gilroy – Daniel McIntyre Ward

Summer in Winnipeg is one of my favourite times of year. It’s a season full of sunshine, family time, and community fun. And once again, the City of Winnipeg is offering its Priceless Fun program, making it easier for families to enjoy affordable activities all summer long.

What is Priceless Fun?
The Priceless Fun guide is a list of low-cost or free recreation programs available across the city. From swimming and soccer to art classes and nature programs, there’s something for everyone — especially kids and teens looking to stay active and engaged over the summer break.

These programs are a great way to try something new without the pressure of high costs. Whether it’s a weekly dance class, youth drop-in programs, or a family swim, this is about making fun accessible to everyone.

Why it matters
For many families, summer programs can be expensive. That’s why these free or low-cost activities are so important — they give all children and youth a chance to participate, make new friends, learn new skills, and build confidence.

And it’s not just about keeping kids busy. These programs are designed to support physical and mental well-being, build a sense of belonging, and bring our communities together.

How to find a program

Printed copies are also available at public libraries, leisure centres, and City of Winnipeg civic buildings.

Let’s make this a summer to remember!
I encourage families across Daniel McIntyre and beyond to explore what’s available and take part. Let’s fill our parks, pools, and community centres with laughter and energy all summer long.

If you have any questions or need help finding a program that works for your family, don’t hesitate to reach out to my office. We’re here to help.
